Anna is just cracking me up lately with some of the things she says.
Wednesday we went to the bookstore where they had an entire display of Fancy Nancy books and toys. Anna was super excited and spent a good while running around the table saying, "Look! Fancy Mancy!". Love how she says that :)
Pretty much every Sunday morning when we walk out to get in the car Anna sees our newspaper at the end of the driveway and yells out, "Yay! They brought the toilet paper!". No matter how many times I tell her it's the newspaper, 1 week later she's excited again to see that toilet paper laying there.
Today after church she was sitting on our bed playing and talking. I asked her to tell her daddy a story and she started to talk about how she was a princess.
Mommy: Where did you live?
Anna: In a castle!
Mommy: Did you have any pets?
Anna: Yes! A puppy!
Mommy: What color was he?
Anna: Pink with big white spots!
Mommy: And what was his name?
Anna: Barfy!
I know she meant to say Barky, because often when Ruby or any other dog is barking Anna will tell me that the dog is barfing. Hee hee hee.

At Great Grandpa's Park
While we were in New York, we visited great grandpa at the park where he works and spends time with his friends. We think he had a lot of fun with the kids, and they definitely had a lot of fun showing him all that they could do on the playground. It was nice to meet all of his friends, and it was clear that they all love having him around.
Noah loved being carried by his great grandpa.
And Anna loved when he played in the sand with her.
This little monkey...
thought great grandpa was so funny.

Ack!......so busy
I can't even tell you what we've been doing, but every day has been more than full from the minute we get up until we go to bed in the wee hours of the next morning. I feel bad for not blogging more since we came home from NY, but many other things have been neglected too so it may be a bit longer before we're back to messages everyday.
I shouldn't even be sitting here right now! Aaaarrrrrggggg!

Hooray for you!
Happy happy birthday to my cutie pie husband! You're a great husband and the best daddy, and we love you so very much!
All together now....awwwww (gag):
Anna is crazy about her daddy, even when he isn't shoveling ice cream into her mouth.
And Noah? Well, he is a total mini-Nathan. Hmm, where did Noah get those seriously concerned eyebrows? Hee hee hee.
Okay, now everybody go to the comments and show Nathan some love!

Overwhelmed
I promise I really am trying to get some posts together about our trip, but I am overwhelmed by the hundreds of pictures we took. It doesn't help that Nathan gave me this camera (mine is the Bohemian Brown. It's tiny and I love it!) for Mother's Day, so there were times on this trip when he and I were both taking pictures of the same thing from different angles. Yes, we're crazy!
We've also been super busy since we came home and I haven't had enough time to get the pictures and the stories all lined up. But I will! Since I never even finished blogging the Disney trip, I'm just going to group a bunch of shots together and not worry about what day they were taken. So unlike Anna in the photo below, I'm not going to stress over it all!

We're Home
We got to bed at about 1 a.m. this morning and we've been at the zoo all day today, so we feel like we haven't stopped yet. After a million loads of laundry, a trip to the grocery, and some sorting through the hundreds of pictures we took, I'll be posting all sorts of fun stories from our trip. We had a lot of fun and the travel was a breeze, but we are really happy to be back home!

Off to the beach!
Here's the last time our New York family saw Anna - she was only 6 months old!
I have a ton of pictures to blog, but I also have a ton of things to do. We're leaving town tomorrow morning for a week of fun and family in New York. Anna is super excited and has been asking for days if it's finally time to go to the airport and get on the airplane. We've told her we're going to the beach so she is beyond ready to get there and get into that swimsuit.
This morning we had a few last minute things to pick up, and we got Anna a much needed haircut. We went a little shorter and now her hair is a super cute little bob. It's all curly and fluffy and I feel bad that I've let her go so long with that scraggly hair! Pictures will come with vacation pictures :) Oh! And Noah is now walking all around the house while pushing the little shopping cart. He's not ready to let go yet, but he loves trying out his new skill!
So say a prayer and send us happy-children-on-the-airplane vibes! We'll try to blog when we can!

Nothing to see here
Ahhh...the sandbox.
Sandy legs and feet
Filling up and dumping out his tug boats
Little sandy hands
Sandy legs and feet
Umm, nothing mommy. Certainly not that thing you were just telling the neighbors that I never do. Surely not what most babies try when they play with sand.
Why would you think I was eating sand?!
In a week we're packing up for a vacation which will include some beach time. Anna has been to New England, Florida and California but still has never touched the ocean so we know she'll have a blast. Looks like Noah will have fun too. Even with his sad sand eating face, he kept going back for more!

My future is so bright....
This week the weather finally caught up with the calendar, and it has been hot! Noah got some new shades to protect his eyes and to make him cool in general.

While we were inside eating raspberries and crackers...

he kept them on for quite a while. Even when he wears them, he doesn't like them as much as Anna liked hers at this age. (I can't believe she was ever that small!)

Later we went outside to ride Anna's new scooter. Her birthday princess scooter was missing a few parts when we tried to assemble it, so we returned it to the store for a new one. She wanted the same scooter as her friend Kendall but they didn't have it, so we got the red version instead. She loves it, and now we can pass it down to Noah!

She also did a little butterfly chasing, "Where are you going?! Are you going home for lunch?".

And while Noah was playing happily in the sandbox...
